From a young age, Ben has always dreamed of becoming a vet due to the vast menagerie of animals he grew up with. After graduating with several top academic awards from his high school in his home town of Perth, WA, he entered the Murdoch University School of Veterinary Science in 1998 and graduated in 2002. His veterinary journey has seen him work in Victoria, Western Australia, ACT and NSW in mixed and small animal practice. After moving to Sydney in 2009, he worked at several small animal hospitals and in emergency practice before taking up his first managerial role in 2015. His ever-growing taste for leadership and helping to develop veterinary hospitals led to a return to university to study business, leadership, marketing and management, before finally purchasing a partnership in the Forestville Veterinary Hospital in 2017.
With Forestville Veterinary Hospital now merged into the Vetpartners Group, Ben brings to this established practice a plethora of knowledge from his post-graduate business/leadership training and his near 20 years of clinical experience and hospital management. His personal mantras of 'pets and pet-owners come first' and 'being all you can be' drives him to always give the best veterinary care possible to all clients. Outside of work, he is happily married to his wife Alessandra, who is a high school teacher in the Parramatta area, and together they own three cats: Delta, Kingston and Smudge. In addition, they have a son named James and are due to have their second child in August this year.
